NHL 2020-21
« on: January 13, 2021, 03:49:21 AM »
After a long wait (too long for fans of teams out of the bubble, trust me, I know), the NHL is back and the way this season is set up, anything can happen.  Plus, we have two of the best rivalries in the game on, including with the first puck drop today in Philadelphia, so it'll be exciting to watch.  Did I mention there's going to be a banner ceremony?  There's a lot to look forward to.  Here's today's Opening Day schedule.

Pittsburgh Penguins at Philadelphia Flyers today at 5:30 p.m.
Montreal Canadiens at Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at 7 p.m.
Chicago Blackhawks at Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at 8 p.m.
Vancouver Canucks at Edmonton Oilers tonight at 10 p.m.
St. Louis Blues at Colorado Avalanche tonight at 10:30 p.m.
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second, we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again

What a thriller tonight in Montreal!  Artturi Lehkonen’s overtime goal propelled the Canadiens past the Golden Knights, 3-2, to advance to the team’s first Stanley Cup Final since 1993.

This going to be a fun Finals.  The Lightning are back in the Stanley Cup Finals as Yanni Gourde's shorthanded goal sent the defending champions past the Islanders, 1-0, in Game 7.  The Lightning will play the Canadiens beginning on Monday in Tampa, Fla.

Somebody play “Wait” by Earshot.  The Lightning beat the Canadiens, 1-0, in Game 5 to become the ninth different franchise to repeat as Stanley Cup champions.
