I didn't want things to happen like this, but this game just got really interesting.  The Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes will not return against the Browns because of a concussion.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Bullet dodged.  The Chiefs held off the Browns, 22-17.  The Chiefs will host their third straight AFC title game against the Bills on Jan. 24 in Kansas City, Mo.

In the battle of G.O.A.T.s, the one with the most rings came out on top.  Tom Brady and the Buccaneers outlasted the Saints, 30-20.  Brady is going to his 14th conference title game against the Packers on Jan. 24 in Green Bay, Wis.  The Saints' Drew Brees had 134 passing yards, a touchdown and three interceptions.

That was a bad loss and it's going to leave a stain on Brees' legacy. I wish he had retired last year.

This loss don't hurt as bad as the previous ones. They got their ass kicked thoroughly. It didn't come down to OT or a hail mary pass.

Going to be a crappy NFCCG next week as the Packers blow out this Bucs team.

Basically, this sounds like moving across the SoFi Stadium hallway.  According to NFL Network, the Chargers will name Rams defensive coordinator Brandon Staley as their new head coach.

At least your team has made the playoffs the past 4 years.

See you in Canton.  According to The San Diego Union-Tribune, Colts quarterback and eight-time Pro Bowler Philip Rivers, who is 39, will announce his retirement today after 17 seasons.

There is a youth movement in Philly.  According to Adam Schefter, the Eagles are hiring 39-year-old Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni as their head coach.

Cade was wrong on two counts:  That was a great game and Green Bay is (thankfully) done.  The Buccaneers advanced to the Super Bowl on Feb. 7 in Tampa, Fla., by beating the Packers, 31-26.  The Buccaneers are going to be the first team to play in the Super Bowl at home and Tom Brady will make his 10th Super Bowl appearance.

UPDATE:  This may be the sexiest quarterback match-up I've seen in a while.  The Chiefs repeated as AFC champions by beating the Bills, 38-24.  The Chiefs will face the Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV and Patrick Mahomes had 325 passing yards and three touchdowns.

Aaron Rodgers is now 1-4 in the NFCCG.

Twice now Green Bay has blew it in a game with 3 or more INTs from the opposing QB.

Hahahaha you got me there. Happy to be proven wrong.

It looked like it was going to be a blow out for Tampa early in the 3rd quarter. IMO it turned out to be a pretty good game. I thought the Packers would squeak it out after all the interceptions.

I'm baffled by Matt LeFluer choosing not to go for it on 4th and goal. Rodgers could've probably got a TD on the 3rd down play had he run it in, but still, the coach should've knew better. With barely over 2 minutes to go, they weren't getting the ball back after that field goal.

The last spot has been filled.  According to the Houston Chronicle, the Texans are hiring Ravens assistant head coach, wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator David Culley to be the team’s next head coach.

Looks like the coaching change will be for naught.  According to Adam Schefter, quarterback Deshaun Watson officially requested a trade from the Texans.  Watson made an initial request weeks ago.

I was dreading this when it was announced last week, but now that the details have come out, I actually like this deal.  According to Adam Schefter, the Lions are trading quarterback Matthew Stafford to the Rams for quarterback Jared Goff, two future first-round picks and a third-round pick.

Wow, don't know what to think of that trade. A bit of a shock.

Lions traded for the same type of QB just younger but picking up those first round picks is great.

Rams now go 5+ years without a first round pick yet they seem to constantly nail every other draft pick and remain in good shape.

Was shocked by this news, it's a really great deal for the Lions.

On one hand; they won't be paying the majority of Goff's contract. The Rams still have to do that. On the other hand, the draft picks make this a steal of a deal for the Lions to rebuild.

Lions traded for the same type of QB just younger but picking up those first round picks is great.

Completely disagree. They are not the same at all.

Goff is pretty much this generation's Drew Bledsoe. Back in the day, Bledsoe looked like a Hall of Fame QB in some games and then would look terrible in others. There was no in between with him; either very good or very bad. He was never consistent, as you had no idea what version of him was going to show up on Sunday. In 1999, Bledsoe was a top 3 ranked QB in 10 games of the season. The other 6 games, he was in the bottom 3 in advanced stats.

Goff is the same way. Some games he'll look like a HOF QB but when he has a bad game, it's down right awful. We're now going to witness how good he really is without McVay.

But none of this matters IMO cause even if Goff don't work out, Detroit is in great shape to draft another QB.
