Time to see how the Top 4 shakes out.  The second College Football Playoff rankings of 2022 are set to be revealed.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Yep, this feels right to me.  Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and TCU topped the second College Football Playoff rankings of 2022.  Tennessee is fifth and Oregon sixth.

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second, we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent

Only Georgia in that top 5 looks like the real deal. Not impressed with Mich or OSU.
LSU should be ranked higher.

Agreed. I think it comes down to OSU and Georgia. Everything is set for a GA repeat after Bama and Tennessee sunk.

This is going to be heartbreaking to type out.  The university president confirmed three Virginia football players as those who were killed in a campus shooting.  The suspect is in custody.

What a thriller today in Waco!  No. 4 TCU scrambled to kick the game-winning field goal as time expired in a wild finish to stay unbeaten with an exciting 29-28 win on the road against Baylor.

Rocky Top just got Rock Bottomed.  Spencer Rattler threw for a career-high six touchdowns and 438 yards in South Carolina's huge 63-38 upset of No. 5 Tennessee.

With Rivalry Week looming, it's time to see who is where.  The new AP poll is out and USC moved up two spots to No. 5 for their first Top 5 appearance since 2017 and Tennessee tumbled four spots to No. 9.

Everything is set for either USC or TCU to sneak into the playoff, if they win next week.

Regardless what happens in early December, I am proud of LSU this year. In a rebuild year that started off with a shaky loss and despite them getting blown out by Tennessee earlier, they really stepped up and had some impressive wins. The 17 point comeback vs Auburn was the highlight of the year until the big win vs Alabama. I am still feeling high from that win! Stuff like that is what makes CFB so fun, when you get bragging rights over beating a team like Bama.

If they can hang with Georgia and make that game close and considering all other things go right, I think they'd deserve a spot in the playoff.

It's time to take another look at the ranking before all of these weekend's big showdowns.  The latest 2022 College Football Playoff rankings are being revealed right now.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  As if I needed to be more excited to go to Columbus on Saturday.  Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and TCU topped the fourth College Football Playoff rankings of 2022.  LSU is fifth and USC sixth.

I was wondering when a decision on this would come.  Seven Michigan State football players were charged, with one facing a felony charge, for an assault in the tunnel after the Michigan game.

I'm back from Columbus and I couldn't have been happier with how things went.  No. 3 Michigan left no doubt as J. J. McCarthy accounted for four touchdowns as the Wolverines upset No. 2 Ohio State, 45-23, to clinch the Big Ten East.  The Wolverines will play Purdue in the Big Ten Championship Game on Dec. 3 in Indianapolis.

Michigan winning is good that I now don't have to hear about how my NFL team should hire Jim Harbaugh. He won't be leaving there now, at least I hope.
