What will happen after a wild Rivalry Week?  The new College Football Playoff rankings are about to be revealed.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  The closer we get to the Playoff, the more excited I am.  Georgia, Michigan, Alabama and Cincinnati topped the latest College Football Playoff rankings.  Oklahoma State is fifth and Notre Dame sixth.

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second, we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent

This is Georgia's year if they can get past Bama.
I have no faith at all that any of the other top 3 will stand a chance to compete with them. This is the weakest playoff picture since it began.

How about some Friday night football?  No. 17 Utah is off to a strong start in the Pac-12 Championship against No. 10 Oregon with a Rose Bowl berth at stake.  Updates to come.

Utah upset Oregon, 38-10.

Welcome to the most exciting day of the year! It is Championship Saturday.  No. 9 Baylor is playing No. 5 Oklahoma State now.  No. 21 Houston will play No. 4 Cincinnati at 4 p.m.  No. 16 Wake Forest will play No. 15 Pittsburgh at 8 p.m.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This is getting fun.  Oklahoma State has the ball trailing Baylor, 21-16, with 3:23 left in the Big 12 championship.

UPdATE 2:  How do you blow so many chances?  Oklahoma State failed to score on four attempts from inside the two-yard line in the final 1:19 as Baylor won the Big 12 title in an upset, 21-16.

Cincinnati beat Houston, 35-20.
Pittsburgh beat Wake Forest, 45-21.

Stop me if you heard this before.  No. 3 Alabama handed No. 1 Georgia their first loss of the season with a 41-27 upset in the SEC championship.

After a chaotic weekend, we know if in, but in what order?  The College Football Playoff committee will unveil the Top 4 teams and the final rankings.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  And now we know.  No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Georgia and No. 4 Cincinnati topped the final College Football Playoff rankings.  Notre Dame is fifth.  The Bearcats will play the Crimson Tide in the Cotton Bowl Classic on Dec. 31 in Arlington, Texas.  The Bulldogs will play the Wolverines in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31 in Miami Gardens, Fla.  The Fighting Irish will play Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1, 2022, in Glendale, Ariz.

Who will be named the best?  The Heisman Trophy presentation is tonight.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Time to see who will take home the trophy.  The Heisman Trophy ceremony is on now.  Will Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, Ohio State quarterback C. J. Stroud, Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson or Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett win the award?

UPDATE 2:  Wish this went differently, but I'm not surprised.  Young became the first Alabama quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy.  Young is Alabama head coach Nick Saban's record-tying fourth Heisman winner.

This move was absolutely seismic.  No. 2 recruit Travis Hunter flipped from Florida State to the Jackson State Tigers, helping Tigers head coach Deion Sanders make history.

Time to start cutting the field down.  No. 4 Cincinnati is playing No. 1 Alabama in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Cotton Bowl Classic.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  I feel like a broken record.  Alabama rolled past Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl Classic, 27-6, to reach their sixth College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Jan. 10, 2022, in Indianapolis.  The Crimson Tide's Brian Robinson had 204 rushing yards.

UPDATE 2:  In case you didn't know, I'm pumped for this one.  No. 3 Georgia is playing No. 2 Michigan in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Orange Bowl.

UPDATE 3:  Oh, this was expected but not what I wanted.  Georgia’s Kenny McIntosh showed some College Football Playoff trickery as his first career pass attempt was an absolute dime to Adonai Mitchell for an 18-yard touchdown.

UPDATE 4:  Well, we will have a terrific rematch for the title and for my favorite team, this doesn't stain a season with several fond memories.  Georgia cruised into the title game by upsetting Michigan, 34-11, in the Orange Bowl and setting up a College Football Playoff National Championship Game rematch with Alabama.

Nope, seen this blow out coming a mile away.

I'm sure Harbaugh will make some jab at the SEC after this game, like all the crap he talks about OSU.

I have whiplash from this game.  No. 11 Utah and No. 6 Ohio State shot off fireworks at the Rose Bowl, combining for five touchdowns in a 2:43 stretch of the second quarter, with four going longer than 50 yards.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Not the result I wanted, but that was fun!  C. J. Stroud and Jaxon Smith-Njigba had record nights as a last-second field goal sealed a 48-45 Ohio State win in an epic Rose Bowl against Utah.

It all comes down to this big rivalry.  No. 3 Georgia is playing No. 1 Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.  The Crimson Tide won the SEC title game by 17.  The Bulldogs are seeking their first title since 1980.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This is getting really fun now.  Georgia leads Alabama, 13-9, after three quarters in the College Football Playoff title game.

UPDATE 2:  Somebody play “Glory, Glory”!  Georgia’s Kelee Ringo intercepted Alabama’s Bryce Young and returned it for a pick-six to clinch the Bulldogs’ 33-18 upset win and first national title since the 1980 season.

That second questionable fumble/incompletion call to go against them really fired Georgia up.  They crushed Bama after that.
