Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second, we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken, just bent

I decided to have a little bit of fun and see who Joe Lunardi has in his 68-team bracket as the college basketball season starts.  Let's see how many teams in this bracket make it in come March.

1.  Gonzaga, Kansas, UCLA, Michigan
2.  Baylor, Purdue, Texas, Villanova
3.  Memphis, Kentucky, Illinois, Duke
4.  Ohio State, Houston, Alabama, Arkansas
5.  Oregon, Tennessee, Maryland, Florida State
6.  St. Bonaventure, North Carolina, UConn, Auburn
7.  Michigan State, Texas Tech, USC, Indiana
8.  LSU, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Xavier
9.  Syracuse, Richmond, West Virginia, Notre Dame
10.  Florida, Louisville, BYU, Colorado State
11.  Colorado, Saint Mary's, Loyola (Ill.), St. John's or Rutgers
12.  Buffalo, UAB, San Diego State or Washington State, Belmont
13.  New Mexico State, UC Santa Barbara, South Dakota State, Liberty
14.  Wright State, Georgia State, Furman, Southern Utah
15.  Colgate, Northeastern, Iona, Vermont
16.  Texas Southern or Morgan State, Winthrop, Bryant or Nicholls, Yale
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second, we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent

How's this for a heavyweight fight to start this season?  No. 3 Kansas is playing Michigan State.  No. 10 Kentucky will play No. 9 Duke at 9:30 p.m.  Updates to come.

Kansas beat Michigan State, 87-74.
Duke beat Kentucky, 79-71.

What a thriller today in Kissimmee!  Dayton upset No. 4 Kansas, 74-73, in a massive hoops upset at the buzzer as the Flyers' Mustapha Amzil's floater somehow fell.  The Flyers will play Belmont, who beat Iona, 72-65, on Sunday in Kissimmee, Fla.  The Jayhawks will play the Gaels on Sunday in Kissimmee.

What a thriller tonight is Piscataway!  Ron Harper Jr.’s buzzer-beater from the logo gave Rutgers a 70-68 upset over No. 1 Purdue.  It was the first win over a No. 1 in school history.

As much as I cannot stand the Blue Devils, this was unnecessary.  No. 7 Duke’s Wendell Moore took a hard foul from Clemson’s David Collins that sent Moore crashing to the floor after a dunk and got Collins ejected.  Updates to come.

Duke beat Clemson, 82-64.

Not even I can defend this.  There was a brawl in No. 15 Wisconsin's 77-63 win over Michigan when Wolverines head coach Juwan Howard struck Badgers assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft with a punch in the handshake line after the game.

It's only fitting that his regular season career ends with the Battle of Tobacco Road.  No. 4 Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski is coaching his final home game at Cameron Indoor Stadium as the Blue Devils host North Carolina.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  I love seeing this type of party be crashed.  Hated rival North Carolina upset Duke, 94-81, riding a late surge to hand Krzyzewski a loss in his final home game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Last night's ugliness was completely unnecessary.  Fans brawled during the NEC title game and Wagner players had to be held back as Bryant's triumph in the men's tournament was interrupted by the ugly scene in the crowd.

Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
