That is how you erase a deficit.  The Chiefs turned a big deficit into a rout by beating the Texans, 51-31, to reach the AFC championship against the Titans on Jan. 19 in Kansas City, Mo.  The Chiefs became the first team to win a playoff game by 20 points after trailing by 20 points.

I will guess he was looking out for his health.  Panthers linebacker and 2013 Defensive Player of the Year Luke Kuechly retired from the NFL at the age of 28.

This is becoming a "what could've been" player type of story.  The New Orleans Police Department issued an arrest warrant accusing Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. of simple battery.

I understand these words, but not in this order.  Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said on Westwood One that he's open-minded about playing elsewhere next season, saying, "I'm open-minded about the process."

It's about time.  The Chiefs moved on to play in the Super Bowl on Feb. 2 in Miami Gardens, Fla., after beating the Titans, 35-24.  This is the Chiefs' first Super Bowl appearance since the 1969 season and Patrick Mahomes had 294 passing yards and four total touchdowns.  The Titans' Derrick Henry had 69 rushing yards and a touchdown.

UPDATE:  And so it is set.  Raheem Mostert powered the 49ers to the Super Bowl with a 37-20 win over the Packers with 220 rushing yards and four touchdowns.  The 49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo was 6-of-8 for 77 passing yards.  The Packers' Aaron Rodgers is 0-3 against the 49ers in the playoffs.

Next stop, Canton, Ohio.  According to Dan Graziano and Jordan Raanan, two-time Super Bowl-winning Giants quarterback Eli Manning will announce his retirement on Friday.

If Eli makes the Hall of Fame and Ken Andersen doesn't, that's going to be a huge joke on the NFL's part. I don't care how many rings he's got or that they came against the Pats, he don't belong in the HoF IMO.

This downhill slide is getting sadder by the moment.  An arrest warrant was issued for wide receiver Antonio Brown by Hollywood, Fla., police on felony charges of burglary and battery.

Hopefully, this can be resolved in a manner where he gets help.  Wide receiver Antonio Brown turned himself in after a warrant for his arrest was issued stemming from an incident at his Hollywood, Fla. home.

Was there any other option?  Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was named NFL MVP.  Jackson joined Patriots quarterback Tom Brady as the only unanimous winners in the award’s history.

What a comeback!  The Chiefs defeated the 49ers, 31-20, to win Super Bowl XIL.  The Chiefs are the third team to win a Super Bowl after trailing by at least 10 points in the fourth quarter.

UPDATE:  The youth movement is on.  The Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes was named Super Bowl MVP, becoming the youngest player in NFL history to win both a Super Bowl MVP and an NFL MVP, which he won in 2018, at 24 years and 138 days.

As a lifelong Ohioan, I remember going to relatives' soccer (lifelong American) games, and both seeing & hearing how excited folks were to know he'd be playing for the local team...While simultaneously wondering if they remained aware he'd be playing for the local team.
