Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second, we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s written in the scars on our hearts
That we’re not broken, just bent
And we can learn to love again

What a thriller today in Cleveland!  The Guardians clinched a spot in the ALDS against the Yankees beginning on Tuesday in New York behind Oscar González's series-clinching 15th-inning walk-off home run for a 1-0 win as the Rays are eliminated.

It's time to put up or shut up.  The Padres and Mets are squaring off in a decisive win or go home Game 3 for the right to play the Dodgers in the NLDS beginning on Tuesday in Los Angeles.  Updates to come.

The Padres beat the Mets, 6-0, to advance to play the NL West rival Dodgers.

Who wants the crown now?  The Phillies eliminated the NL East rival and defending champion Braves from the Major League Baseball playoffs with an 8-3 win to advance to the NLCS against the Padres beginning on Tuesday in San Diego.

Poor ffstoryman!  The Astros took the ALDS in the 18th as Jeremy Peña's home run sealed a 1-0 win to secure a sweep of the AL West rival Mariners and advance to the ALCS.

This is going to be an exciting series, but will the quick turnaround impact how it goes?  The Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge homered in a 5-1 ALDS Game 5 win over the Guardians.  The Yankees will face the Astros in the ALCS for the third time in six seasons beginning on Wednesday in Houston.

For all the crap he's gotten about not winning a title, this would be a good chance to shut the haters up.  Bryce Harper powered the Phillies to the World Series and sent the Padres packing with a clutch eighth-inning homer to help the Phillies clinch their first World Series berth since 2009 in a 4-3 win.

UPDATE:  And then there were two.  The Astros swept the Yankees in the ALCS with a 6-5 win to clinch their fourth World Series appearance in the past seven seasons, setting up a clash with the Phillies beginning on Friday in Houston.

If Houston wins the title, I think I have an idea of who the MVP will be.  Cristian Javier struck out nine as the Astros pieced together the first combined no-hitter in Major League Baseball playoff history to win, 5-0, over the Phillies in Game 5.

Somebody play "Deep in the Heart of Texas" by Moe Bandy!  The Astros won the World Series and claimed their second title in franchise history with a 4-1 Game 6 win to defeat the Phillies.
