Freddie Mercury died 30 years ago, 24 November 1991, aged just 45 years old.

One of those days you never forget. RIP Freddie.

NOVEMBER 27, 1942-SEPTEMBER 18, 1970. RIP.

He's now been gone for more than 50 years and yet is still inspiring people to run out and buy Stratocaster guitars. Absolute legend. There is really only one other guitar player who you can say inspires people like that and it was someone who loved him dearly (Stevie Ray Vaughan).

Agreed. I never saw Jimi but did see SRV several times in London. Astonishing musician, and yet another tragic ending.

Stephen Sondheim, the dominant voice in American musical theater in the second half of the 20th century and the composer with the most Tony Awards, has died. The Broadway icon died Friday, November 26th at his home in Roxbury, Conn. He was 91.
Never create anything. It will be misinterpreted. It will be chained to you and follow you the rest of your life. It will never change.

Former Jimmy Page and Alan Parsons Project vocalist, John Miles has died at age 72 after a short illness. I remember his hit single from 1976 called 'Music'

Very Sad news. The Monkeys were a staple of British tea time television in late 1960's and early 1970's. Funny and with great hit songs.Only Micky Dolenz left now. They all seemed so young when I first saw them.

Anne Rice has passed at 80. I know this one has to hit pretty hard for a lot of people. She inspired a lot of people to start writing.

Won't mean much outside the UK I guess, but sad to hear that British Comedian 'Jethro' died on 14 December 2021 aged 73 (Born 8 March 1948) of Covid-19 related complications. His comic style consisted of an often rambling delivery with a heavy Cornish accent and plenty of 18 rated content.

Check out YouTube for his work.

Sad to hear that British broadcaster, Janice Long, passed away on Christmas Day, aged 66 after a short illness. She had a long career mainly as a DJ in radio for the BBC.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate and veteran of South Africa's struggle against apartheid who was revered as his nation's conscience by both Black and white, died on Sunday aged 90.

Yes, he passed away a few years ago, both quite young. He was on Swap Shop. I think. ITV had Tiswas v Swap Shop on BBC. What Saturday morning TV we had back in the 1970's.
