It's already time for the preseason.  The first pitches of the exhibition season will come in Port Charlotte, Fla.; Fort Myers, Fla.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; Lakeland, Fla.; Sarasota, Fla.; Tampa, Fla.; and Jupiter, Fla.  This will be your home location for all news and notes in MLB this year and let's just hope we have a full season this year.  Remember, be respectful to others here.

While perfection didn’t come tonight, we still saw an excellent performance.  Carlos Rodón tossed a no-hitter for the White Sox in an 8-0 win against the Indians.  He allowed his first baserunner on a hit by pitch with one out in the ninth.

This is a lot of no-nos to start the year.  The Orioles' John Means threw a no-hitter in a 6-0 win against the Mariners for the franchise's first individual no-hitter since current Orioles broadcaster Jim Palmer in 1969.

I have to imagine that The Squad Leader is a happy man.  The Reds’ Wade Miley threw a no-hitter in a 3-0 win against the Indians.  This is the second season in MLB history to have four no-hitters before the end of May.

Wow, this crackdown on foreign substances is already starting to get teams riled up.  Tempers boiled over in Philadelphia after the Nationals’ Max Scherzer stared down the Phillies bench after his third substance check of the game and Phillies manager Joe Girardi charged out of the dugout toward Scherzer.  The Nationals beat the Phillies, 3-2.

Even with a crackdown on foreign substances, there's no stopping the pitchers this year.  Zach Davies and three Cubs relievers combined to no-hit the Dodgers in a 4-0 win.  That was Major League Baseball's seventh no-hitter of the season, the most before July in history.
