Remembering Freddie Mercury on his birthday today.

Yes, it would have been his 75th Birthday today (5th September). Lots on the radio, music and interviews, to remember him.
All hail Emma Raducanu.
All hail Sarina Wiegman.

Very sad news about Norm Macdonald. A great Candian Comedian. Perhaps not so well known in the UK. A few years ago I saw him tell the 'Moth' Joke on the Conan O'brien show. Check it out on YouTube, so funny.
All hail Emma Raducanu.
All hail Sarina Wiegman.

His playing career was really before my time, but he was great on the Saint and Greavsie show. I've heard people who saw him play say that he was the best striker of his day. RIP Jimmy.
All hail Emma Raducanu.
All hail Sarina Wiegman.

Only Fools is certainly amongst the greatest Sitcoms, just turned 40 as well, if you can believe it.
Fawlty Towers may be the best IMO. still makes me laugh today, even if some jokes are considered 'Woke' in the current climate.
I know I've discussed this subject before, and it's always a matter for debate.
All hail Emma Raducanu.
All hail Sarina Wiegman.

Porridge is still right up there. Seen the same episodes many times but I still laugh.

Agreed, not seen it for a few years. Dad's Army is on alot, I catch it when I can. Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, Radio series, superbly funny. I was lucky to hear the original broadcast on Radio 4 back in the 1970's.
All hail Emma Raducanu.

Mort Sahl, the acerbic comic whose pioneering style paved the way for such boundary-breaking comedians as Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor and George Carlin, died Tuesday at his home in Mill Valley, CA. He was 94.

The amazing Dean Stockwell, a great actor from childhood in the 1940's (The Secret Garden, The Boy With Green Hair), young adulthood in the 1950's and 60's (Compulsion, Sons and Lovers, Long Day's Journey Into Night), maturity in the 1980's and 90's (Married to the Mob, Blue Velvet, Quantum Leap), and senior citizenship in the 2000's (Battlestar Galactica), has died at 85.
