An interview with...Thehouseofweird
« on: April 03, 2020, 03:19:05 AM »
Our next site interview is with the author of the excellent story featuring Sabrina Carpenter called In My Bed, Thehouseofweird. In this interview we will find out he got into writing celebrity erotica, who influenced him to write in this genre and other topics related to his writing.

You can find his profile at Thehouseofweird

1. Where are you from?

The wonderful state of California, land of over priced housing and a sunny beach paradise in the lower half, a lush winter wonderland towards the North end, and a realm of who gives a shit weather in the middle.

2. How did you come up with your pen name and is there any meaning behind it?

Sarcastically: I'm in a house, and I'm weird.

Realistically: from the very beginning I wanted my pen name to reflect the type of smutt I originally wanted to make. (and still try to today.) That being odd and fetish catering stories with a twist on traditional sex scenes. And the best idea I had at the time was The House of Weird.

3. How long have you been writing celebrity erotic fiction?

Made my first story about three and a half years ago, started taking it more seriously about a year and 10 months ago.

4. Who or What got you started writing erotic fiction?

In relation to question #2, I had grown bored of regular erotica, not to say it's bad at all but seeing the same moves and celebs and corny set ups over and over and over it just got repetitive. "And then she sucked his cock. "Then he fucked her in the missionary position." "Holy shit you're Jennifer Fucking Lawrence!"

It became a fun treat when a lesser known celeb that I knew had a story, or the author mixed it up and had some fun kinks involved. So the biggest part of me wanting to write my own was to put it bluntly: if no one else is gonna write the kind of smutt and pairings I want to see, I might as well do it myself. It sounds just a little rude but I was a bit immature back then. My current goal has morphed into: writing the erotic content you don't normally see.

5. Who would you say are your biggest influences as a writer of less than appropriate celeb fiction? Which authors, if any, would have inspired you?

I would say my own perverted mine is a big influence at the beginning and even now, simply put my own fantasies have been a good bases for some stories past and future as well as some clever brainstorming with a dash of good ol fashion porn to get the ideas going. The two writers I think actually can be considered the one's who inspired me are L. Little'sFanFic and James Stryker. Two fan fic writers that I used to read everything by them. They definitely gave some inspiration in the beginning with one's mega series of one shots and the others line up of bi friendly smutt content.

6. Who are your favourite celeb sex story writers? Past and Present.

Oh definitely Little'sFanFic again and some other notable one's from different site's like The Inspector, Moscow Calling, Maxwell Lord and BigLove. It's nice seeing all different types of writing and themes for all kinds of erotica readers even if I don't always keep up with everyone.

7. Any favourite sex stories that you've read that made you think - "Wow! That's incredible!"

I forget the author, and the site it was on has long been disabled. But the earliest one I can think of is the first ever story I read on Dove Cameron. She had a welcome party with a few other celebs back in her Disney days with lesbian sex and a small orgy involving two hunks to share. Back when I was first really looking into celebrity erotica this was definitely a wow moment.

8. Which of your own stories are you the most proud of writing?

The ones with the most creativity behind making it. 'In My Bed with Sabrina Carpenter' is a good example. It was my first attempt at a drug induced fuck and clearly some people got excited for it. I even got my first ever story nomination because of it. There's another I won't go into too much detail with because it doesn't fit with this sites rules, but one other I'm uniquely proud of is my first Halloween story. It's a non con so it won't ever come here unfortunately, but the whole writing process was a learning experience for me. Experimenting with different themes is definitely a essential part of my writing, not sticking to a simple template for every work I've done.

9. Which celebrities do you enjoy writing about the most?

Lesser knowns, celebs that aren't as popular as the top ten here or are popular just don't have many stories about them. I do love a good mainstream celeb story but it's always fun and write about someone not everyone reads up on.

10. What type of sex scenes do you enjoy writing the most?

Fetish based sex, certain kinks as well. Girl gets fucked doggy style? No problem. The guy getting pegged doggy style? That's something you don't see everyday.

11. Do you have routine for how and when you write?

Yes and no, my routine is that I have no definitive routine of how I go about writing. Sure I have a standard greeting and way of setting up the title but it's mostly based on mood to write.

12. Do you sketch out a plan on paper/word/notes or write off the cuff with a basic idea and let it flow from there?

I primarily do off the cuff but I at least have the set up and the choice of celeb in mind when starting.

13. Apart from hot celebrities, does anything else influence your writing? Music, Fashion, TV etc.

Going back to 'In My Bed' that was inspired by the music video for the song the title is based off of. Fashion kind of influences me simply by hot celebs wearing hot outfits.

14. Any projects you are working on that you are excited about?

Actually yes I'm beginning work on a little series I've been waiting to do for a while now and a couple of one shots should be on their way over to this site and others.

15. Any tips for readers that may want to start writing celebrity erotic fiction?

Write a first story, take a good look at it when you're done. Is it poorly written and filled with dull sex? Great! Now how do you fix it? What can you do to make it better? Ask another writer, watch some porn, feel no shame in exploring your more perverted side and let your wildest dreams become your stories. Will you be good at the beginning? Hell no my first few works are shit. Will you get better with time and more writing? Absolutely. Someone give you some negative feedback? See if they're right or just a hater and if they are right, learn from your mistakes and keep going.

And do not be afraid to try different themes and types of stories. There's no judgement in writing something that may not fit THIS particular site, but if you do want to publish it do look for the appropriate site to do so. For just because some readers won't like it doesn't mean no one will.
