AVENGERS and Bond Girl star Dame Diana Rigg has died aged 82 from cancer.

The Brit actress passed away "peacefully" at home this morning surrounded by her family after a secret six-month battle with the disease. Diana Rigg has died aged 82.

Terrible news, along with the passing earlier this year of original Avengers leading lady, Honor Blackman. Two of my childhood crushes.

RIP.

Wow, that's a tough one. RIP indeed, talented drummer. Ozzy owes all of his solo success to that band for Blizzard of Oz. Much is made of Randy Rhoads' contributions but Daisley and Kerslake are often forgotten.

I saw Lee in London in 1978 with Uriah Heep, never saw Ozzy solo, only with Black Sabbath in 1978 and 2017.

Legendary Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen has died at the age of 65. His death follows a long battle with cancer, with the news confirmed in a statement from his son, Wolfgang.

Born in Amsterdam in 1955, Eddie and his drummer brother Alex moved to Pasadena, California, with their parents in the early 60s. They formed the band that would transform into Van Halen in 1972, with the lineup completed in 1974 by vocalist David Lee Roth and bassist Michael Anthony.

Van Halen released their self-titled debut album in 1978. The album would revolutionise rock music, redefining what it meant to be a guitarist – Eddie's innovative two-handed ‘tapping’ technique made him the most influential guitarist since Jimi Hendrix – and providing a template for thousands of musicians to follow.

Actress Margaret Nolan, who appeared in A Hard Day’s Night and James Bond film Goldfinger, has passed away aged 76.

The star’s death was confirmed by her son Oscar Deeks to Variety, as well as director Edgar Wright, the latter of whom cast her in his upcoming film Last Night in Soho.

Nolan famously played the role of the gold-painted model in the title sequence of the 1964 Bond movie, as well as 007’s masseuse Dink in the same film. She also starred as Girl at Casino in The Beatles‘ A Hard Day’s Night the same year.

Gordon Haskell, who featured on King Crimson's second and third albums, has passed away aged 74

Gordon Haskell, who played bass and sang for King Crimson in the early 70s has died, aged 74, according to his official Facebook page.

In a post from earlier today it states: "It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gordon, a great musician and a wonderful person who will be sadly missed by so many."

Really hate to hear this. Love King Crimson, they made one of my favorite records of all time.

That's all 3 of their original bass players and vocalists gone. Greg Lake, Gordon Haskell and John Wetton. RIP to all of them.
