I already own the Genesis collection on the Switch and I doubt the game list will be very different so I’m probably gonna pass.
Comix Zone is still so cool.
-
See, I don't know about that. I thin the main differences will be the non Sega games like Bloodlines. That blindsided me as an announcement. And if they really do announce something like The Wily Wars which was never released in the US except on the Sega channel, they might have something.
-
I remember the first time I went to a friends house and he had Sega Channel. Thought I was living in the year 2050.
:o
-
Sega really was ahead of the curve in a lot of ways. Yet in the end they just could not keep it together.

Not sure If I'm going to get the min Sega Genesis or not, but the only games I would play from this list would be Sonic, Toe Jam and Earl, Comix Zone, and Altered Beast. I'm sure Streets of Rage will be added, but I have the collection on my Xbox already. A couple of games I wouldn't mind being added are some of my favorite Sega games;
Forgotten Worlds
Enteral Champions
X-Men
X-Men: Clone Wars
Decap Attack
Skitchin'
Blaster Master

I think they have been making the bootleg 'Sega Genesis Flashback' games for some time now that come with all the built in games and play cartridges.
I had one years ago and I used to play Golden Axe and Vectorman on it. Those are two essential games for the Genesis.

The Flashback systems I think are one of the reasons Sega is not only doing the new one, but it was delayed for a year. They really wer enot satisfied with the old ones and wanted a better product for their mini.
I still hope they pull out a major surprise and have some Sega CD games on the console. Mainly Sonic CD and Snatcher.
-
I actually have one of those Flashback systems.
I got it for Xmas a few years back and I fucked around with it for a bit, but eventually I got tired of how bad it was and just put it up and got myself a real Genesis.
As for The Genesis mini, I'm really hoping they've got some nice surprises on there.
Something like Gemfire or General Chaos.
-
If they add some Sega CD games, they have to include the Terminator game. That was the only really good Terminator game out back in the day. It's the only one worth playing.
-
New games announced
Sonic 2
Earthworm Jim
CONTRA: Hard Corps
Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse
World of Illusion starring Mickey and Donald
Streets of Rage 2
Super Fantasy Zone
Shinobi 3: Return of the NInja Master
Landstalker
Thunder Force 3
-
I think I actually played those Mickey Mouse games LOL... The more games I see on this list, the more I'm interested in getting one. If they add the X-Men games, its a done deal.

I honestly believe with those Disney games on the list, any Marvel game in Sega's past is on the table. They were all developed by Sega, I believe. Spider-Man, X-Men, X-Men 2: Clone Wars...
-
The next ten games just announced:
Mega Man: The Wily Wars
Street Fighter II’: Special Champion Edition
Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
Beyond Oasis
Golden Axe
Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium
Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball
Vectorman
Wonder Boy in Monster World
I played Sonic Spinball. Didn't enjoy it like I did the normal Sonic games and Golden Axe was a fun game. Those are the only games I've played on this list.
-
Sega is NOT fucking around on this. WILY WARS? Fuck.
-
Well, I think the Strike series of games should be on there, but that’s problematic as A) EA B) Was also on Super Nintendo.
I can’t remember other Sega games for the life of me.

With the AMAZING choices so far, I have hopes that at least some of these will make the final game announcement:
Batman
Spider-Man
X-Men
X-Men 2: Clone Wars
Eternal Champions
Sonic 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Revenge of Shinobi
RoboCop Vs. Terminator
Mortal Kombat
Aladdin

The moment they announced both of the Mickey Mouse "Illusion" games I realized NOTHING was off the table. Sega really isn't messing around on this.

Tetris
Columns
Darius
Eternal Champions
Light Crusader
Virtua Fighter 2
Road Rash 2
Strider
Alisia Dragoon
