I am a little late for this one, but better late than never.  The Yankees’ Gerrit Cole will undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the 2025 season.  This comes as the Yankees beat the Tigers, 10-2.

What a thriller tonight in Los Angeles!  Shohei Ohtani crushed a walk-off home run as the Dodgers beat the Braves, 6-5, to become the first reigning World Series champion to start a season 8-0.

Somebody up north just opened up their wallet.  According to Jeff Passan, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays are in agreement on a 14-year, $500 million contract extension.  This comes as the Blue Jays lost to the Mets, 2-1.

I hate having to talk about these types of stories.  Fifteen-year MLB vet Octavio Dotel, who was 51, died on the way to a hospital after a nightclub roof collapse in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Watch the skies!  The Diamondbacks’ Eugenio Suárez became the 19th player in MLB history to hit four home runs in a game in an 8-7 loss in 10 innings to the Braves.

This is absolutely terrifying.  A fan is in critical condition after falling from the 21-foot Clemente Wall at PNC Park during the Pirates’ 4-3 win over the Cubs.

I feel terrible for this person.  The fan who fell onto the field at a Pirates game told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review he remains in pain and described his injuries as “broken everything.”  This comes as the Pirates lost to the Cardinals, 6-0.

I never thought this day would come, but these guys could plaques in Cooperstown as soon as 2028.  Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe Jackson and others were removed from MLB’s banned list.

Well, I think the season is over in Beantown.  According to FanSided, the Red Sox traded three-time All-Star Rafael Devers to the Giants for hard-throwing righty Jordan Hicks and others.  This comes as the Red Sox beat the Yankees, 2-0.  Updates to come.

The Giants lost to the Dodgers, 5-4.

I wish he was sent behind bars right away.  The Rays’ Wander Franco’s two-year prison sentence was suspended after he was found guilty of sexual abuse of a minor in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.  This comes as the Rays beat the Royals, 4-0.
