I am so terrified right now. The Lions vs. Falcons preseason game ended with the Lions winning, 17-10, after the Lions’ Morice Norris was taken off the field in an ambulance with a serious injury.

The season has not started yet and tempers are already flaring. The Panthers’ Xavier Legette and the Browns’ Rayshawn Jenkins were ejected after trading blows in a 30-10 Browns win.

I forgot about the NFL connection to this story when it broke, so here it is. According to Pete Thamel and Dan Wetzel, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh was given a 10-year show-cause penalty from the NCAA for the Michigan sign-stealing scandal. Additionally, Michigan was fined more than $20 million, Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore was suspended three games and Connor Stalions was given an eight-year show-cause penalty.

With 10 days left until the NFL season, I was wondering who would be your No. 1 pick for your fantasy team. Mine would be Saquon Barkley.

I do not like this at all. According to Adam Schefter, defensive end Micah Parsons was traded from the Cowboys to the Packers and agreed on a four-year, $188 million contract that made Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
UPDATE: Actually, in my slightly biased mind, this seems like a trade where both teams will win. According to Schefter, the Cowboys received defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks for Parsons.

What a thriller tonight in Orchard Park! The Bills staged a frenzied Sunday night comeback to beat the Ravens, 41-40, on a field goal as time expired.
UPDATE: I hate when things like this happen. A spectator hit the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and DeAndre Hopkins on the helmet and Jackson hit the spectator back.

My favorite weekly tradition has returned. The Vikings are playing the Bears on “Monday Night Football”. The Vikings’ J. J. McCarthy is making his debut. Updates to come.
UPDATE: Oh, this is fun! The Vikings’ Justin Jefferson caught a 13-yard touchdown with 12:13 left to cut the deficit against the Bears to 17-12.

What a thriller today in Glendale! How do you go from making an interception to allowing a touchdown in seconds? The Cardinals and Titans found for the wackiest touchdown of 2025. The Titans beat the Cardinals, 22-21.

Are you ready for it? The Chiefs are playing the Jaguars on “Monday Night Football”. The Chiefs have eight straight wins in the series.
UPDATE: Great way to stay calm and not panic. The Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence tripped in the worst spot possible, but somehow recovered to run for the winning touchdown against the Chiefs for a 31-28 win.

Oh, his career has to be over. Mark Sanchez is now facing a felony battery charge over an altercation on Saturday. A punishment could range from 1-6 years in prison.

Oh, no, this is not a suspension this team needs. The Lions’ Brian Branch hit the Chiefs’ JuJu Smith-Schuster in the face as the clock was winding down, sparking a scuffle at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs beat the Lions, 30-17.

UPDATE: It is safe to assume this play will make the “SportsCenter” Not Top 10 this week. The Eagles’ Jalen Hurts threw an interception and fumbled the ball away in one of the most chaotic plays you’ll see in an NFL game.
UPDATE 2: Who wants bonus football? The Chargers kicked the tying field goal to send the thriller against the Eagles to overtime.
UPDATE 3: This game was bonkers! The Chargers won an insane overtime game, 22-19. The Chargers had a clutch interception to end the game. Hurts had a two-turnover play. Herbert was sacked seven times.

Nobody wants to see this happen. The Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes was injured as his knee buckled while being tackled in a 16-13 loss to the Chargers.

UPDATE: What a thriller tonight in Seattle! Sam Darnold threw a touchdown pass to Jaxson Smith-Njigba and a two-point play lifted the Seahawks to a 38-37 overtime win over the Rams to clinch a playoff berth.

Yep, these two teams hate each other. Numerous punches were thrown between the Eagles and Commanders in an ugly brawl during a 29-18 Eagles win.

What a thriller tonight in Chicago! The Bears’ Caleb Williams went deep to D. J. Moore, who made an incredible over-the-shoulder touchdown catch for a 22-16 walk-off overtime win over the Packers.

What a jerk! The Steelers’ DK Metcalf was seen taking a swing at a Lions fan in the stands. Updates to come.
UPDATE: Please tell me this team is not going back to SOL. An offensive pass interference on the game’s final play wiped out what would have been a wild Lions touchdown as the Steelers held on for a 29-24 win.

UPDATE 3: That is a brutal way to lose. The 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey bobbled a ball on a near touchdown catch and the Seahawks pounced for a devastating interception to help win the top seed in the NFC, 13-3.

That game was pure cinema! The Steelers beat the Ravens, 26-24, to clinch the AFC North and the No. 4 seed and eliminating the Ravens from playoff contention. The Steelers will play the Texans on Jan. 12 in Pittsburgh.

I watched Staff come up clutch many times here, so this result does not surprise me. The Rams’ Matthew Stafford tossed an incredible winning touchdown to Colby Parkinson in the final minute to avoid a massive playoff upset against the Panthers, 34-31.

UPDATE: Has everybody caught their breath yet? Caleb Williams and the Bears rallied from 18 down to stun the Packers, 31-27, securing the largest playoff comeback in franchise history.

Let’s see the Eagles try that! It’s a play you’ve never seen as the Bills nearly pushed Josh Allen into the end zone from 11 yards out in a 27-24 win over the Jaguars. The Bills will play the Broncos on Saturday in Denver.

Down go the champs! The 49ers made a late defensive stand and upset the defending champion Eagles, 23-19, in the wild-card round. The 49ers will play the NFC West rival Seahawks on Saturday in Seattle.

UPDATE: I have seen this man throw multiple picks in a game in person and let me tell you that when he does throw picks, they are not pretty. The Texans’ C. J. Stroud threw four interceptions in a first-half nightmare against the Patriots.

While key members of the Patriots dynasty may be absent, there are still several players who have earned their spot. Larry Fitzgerald, Luke Kuechly and Drew Brees are highlighting the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.

Speaking of the Hall of Fame, here is someone who will be in on the first ballot. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was named the AP NFL MVP after leading the league with 4,707 passing yards and 46 touchdowns.

This has been a defensive slugfest. The Seahawks are shutting out the Patriots, 9-0, at halftime. The Seahawks’ Kenneth Walker III has 94 rushing yards. The Patriots have 51 total yards. Updates to come.
