No. 4 Providence beat No. 13 South Dakota State, 66-57, to advance to play on Saturday in Buffalo, N.Y., against No. 12 Richmond, who upset No. 5 Iowa, 67-63.
No. 9 Memphis upset No. 8 Boise State, 64-53, to advance to play on Saturday in Portland, Ore., against No. 1 Gonzaga, who beat No. 16 Norfolk State, 93-72.
No. 1 Baylor beat No. 16 Norfolk State, 85-49, to advance to play on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas, against No. 8 North Carolina, who beat No. 9 Marquette, 95-63.
No. 12 New Mexico State upset No. 5 UConn, 70-63, to advance to play on Saturday in Buffalo, N.Y., against No. 4 Arkansas, who beat No. 13 Vermont, 75-71.
UPDATE: I'm guessing a lot of people need to run their brackets through a paper shredder. No. 15 Saint Peter's upset No. 2 Kentucky, 85-79, in overtime. The Peacocks got their first-ever men's tourney win and the 10th all-time 2-15 seed upset. The Peacocks will play on Saturday in Indianapolis against No. 7 Murray State, who beat No. 10 San Francisco, 92-87, in overtime.
No. 5 Saint Mary's beat No. 12 Indiana, 82-53, to advance to play on Saturday in Portland, Ore., against No. 4 UCLA, who beat No. 13 Akron, 57-53.
No. 9 Creighton upset No. 8 San Diego State, 72-69, in overtime to advance to play on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas, against No. 1 Kansas, who beat No. 16 Texas Southern, 83-56.
