Hikaru Shida Biography: Hikaru Shida (志田 光, Shida Hikaru, born June 11, 1988)[1][3][4] is a Japanese professional wrestler, martial artist, actress, and model, currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW),[13] where she is a former and the longest-reigning AEW Women's World Champion. On February 25, 2021, she became the longest reigning overall champion in AEW history, breaking the previous record of 277 days set by former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.[14] Her women's championship reign currently stands as the longest championship reign in AEW at 372 days.
She also works for the Makai company, and makes appearances for the Oz Academy and Pro Wrestling Wave promotions.
She started her professional wrestling career in 2008, when she joined the Ice Ribbon promotion, after taking part in a film titled Three Count, set in the world of professional wrestling. She remained with the promotion until 2014, becoming a one-time ICEĆ60 Champion and four-time International Ribbon Tag Team Champion. Outside of Ice Ribbon, Shida has held the Wave Single Championship, the Oz Academy Tag Team Championship and the Sendai Girls Tag Team Championship.
