Time for the series to go up north!  The Oilers are trying to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole against the Panthers as the Stanley Cup Final shifts to Edmonton.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This series is all but over.  The Panthers fended off a late Oilers rally, 4-3, for their sixth straight D.C. in the playoffs and a 3-0 series lead in the Stanley Cup Final, leaving the Panthers one way from the title.

I remember the day you told me you were leavin'
I remember the make-up running down your face
And the dreams you left behind, you didn't need them
Like every single wish we ever made
I wish that I could wake up with amnesia
And forget about the stupid little things
Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you
And the memories I never can escape
'Cause I'm not fine at all

Do we go need to get the brooms?  The Panthers are looking to capture their first Stanley Cup while the Oilers are looking to keep the series alive in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Don’t take the Cup out of the case yet!  The Oilers staved off elimination in the Stanley Cup Final, 8-1, to force Game 5 on Tuesday in Sunrise, Fla., after the Panthers pulled star Sergei Bobrovsky.

Almost 3,000 miles later, we are back to where the series started.  Will the Panthers close out the Stanley Cup Final or will the momentum from their 8-1 win?  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  The intrigue is growing more and more.  Connor McDavid had two goals and two assists to lead the Oilers to a 5-3 Game 5 win against the Panthers as the Stanley Cup Final shifts to Edmonton, Alberta, on Friday.

Does the series end tonight or do we get a winner-take-all game in three days?  The Stanley Cup Final shifted to Edmonton as the Panthers get another chance to close out the Oilers in Game 6.

UPDATE:  I cannot believe we have reached this point.  The Oilers defeated the Panthers, 5-1, to become the third team to force Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Final after being down, 3-0.  Game 7 is on Monday in Sunrise, Fla.

It all comes down to this!  The Oilers and Panthers are meeting in a decisive Game 7 for the right to hoist the Stanley Cup.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  We might be 20 minutes away from crowning a new champion.  The Panthers lead the Oilers, 2-1, entering the third period of Game 7.

UPDATE 2:  Release the rubber rats!  The Panthers beat the Oilers, 2-1, in Game 7 to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.

UPDATE 3:  This just proves how great he is.  The Oilers’ Connor McDavid became the sixth player and second non-goalie to win the Conn Smythe as playoff MVP on a losing team.
