Daveigh Chase has died at only 35 from complications of septic shock and meningitis.  As a live-action actress, she was best known for playing Samara Morgan, the ghost who haunted the cursed VHS cassette and famously crawled out of a TV in “The Ring”.  As a voice actress, Chase was best recognized as Chihiro Ogino in the English dub of “Spirited Away” and Lilo Pelekai in the “Lilo & Stitch” franchise from 2002-2006.

Sam Neill has died at 78 from undisclosed causes.  Some of his more notable performances include, in chronological order, Mark in "Possession", Michael Chamberlain in "Evil Angels", John Ingram in "Dead Calm", Vasily Borodin in "The Hunt for Red October", Alisdar Stewart in "The Piano", Alan Grant in "Jurassic Park", John Trent in "In the Mouth of Madness", Dr. William Weir in "Event Horizon", Cardinal Thomas Wolsey on "The Tudors" and Hector Faulkner in "Hunt for the Wilderpeople".

Hayden Panettiere has died at 36.

We've lost Dolly Parton at 80.  We can talk all day about her talents, but I think we agree that she had big tits and an even bigger heart.

This one hurts for me Dolly was such an example that you can start from the most humble place but reach for the moon and grab it if you try hard I never met her but my brother worked for her for a short time during his early days in the entertainment industry she was always genuine, caring and if you worked hard she noticed no matter if you were a sound tech or scrubbing toilets in the grand old Opry she will be missed by this author even if I never wrote anything with her in it

Tim Curry has died at 80.

Alot of us remember him as Frank-N-Furter in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Tim was someone special.  He relished playing villainous roles and did so often with a fun singing voice.  Curry clearly enjoyed what he did and that's what made him so beloved for many years.

And as Icestorm mentioned, he was Dr. Frank N. Furter in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", a movie I have watched twice and enjoyed but still have trouble dissecting.  Beyond that, if you're down for a rewatch of his best live-action performances, be sure to include the sweet transvestite as well as Daniel "Rooster" Hannigan in "Annie", Wadsworth in "Clue", Darkness in "Legend", Pennywise on "It", Mr. Hector in "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York", Cardinal Richelieu in "The Three Musketeers", Long John Silver in "Muppet Treasure Island" and Billy Flynn aka The Prince of Darkness on "Criminal Minds".  If you want to see Curry's best voice performances, I'd go with Captain Hook on "Peter Pan & the Pirates", Sir Gawain on "The Legend of Prince Valiant", Hexxus in "FernGully: The Last Rainforest", Gabriel Knight in the "Gabriel Knight" series, Mr. Leichliter on "Hey Arnold!", Lord Dragaunus on "Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series", Forte in "Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas", Nigel Thornberry on "The Wild Thornberrys", Rex Pester in "The Rugrats Movie", Ben Ravencroft in "Scooby-Doo! and the Witch's Ghost", Mouse King in "Barbie in the Nutcracker", Professor Finbarr Calamitous on "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius", Prince in "Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties", Chancellor Palpatine aka Darth Sidious on "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and Auntie Whispers on "Over the Garden Wall".

Peter Cullen has died at 85.

The voice of Optimus Prime (Transformers cartoons, and movies), Eeyore (the donkey in the Winnie the Pooh cartoons), K.A.R.R. (Knight Rider) among other voices.

How could you not love that booming yet gentle baritone voice of Peter's?  He was a giant among voice actors and made Saturday mornings fun for so many children.  It sucks that he is gone, but the memories will live on well after his death.  'Til one are all, Peter.

And Icestorm did hit on him as Eeyore, K.A.R.R. and Optimus Prime, so if you need to relive some of his best roles, look to those three as well as Venger on "Dungeons & Dragons", Coran on "Voltron", Ironhide on "The Transformers", The Predator in "Predator", Monterey Jack on "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers", the Toonami narrator and Thaedus on "Invincible".
