Daveigh Chase has died at only 35 from complications of septic shock and meningitis.  As a live-action actress, she was best known for playing Samara Morgan, the ghost who haunted the cursed VHS cassette and famously crawled out of a TV in “The Ring”.  As a voice actress, Chase was best recognized as Chihiro Ogino in the English dub of “Spirited Away” and Lilo Pelekai in the “Lilo & Stitch” franchise from 2002-2006.

We've lost Dolly Parton at 80.  We can talk all day about her talents, but I think we agree that she had big tits and an even bigger heart.

[Money]

This one hurts for me Dolly was such an example that you can start from the most humble place but reach for the moon and grab it if you try hard I never met her but my brother worked for her for a short time during his early days in the entertainment industry she was always genuine, caring and if you worked hard she noticed no matter if you were a sound tech or scrubbing toilets in the grand old Opry she will be missed by this author even if I never wrote anything with her in it

Tim Curry has died at 80.

Alot of us remember him as Frank-N-Furter in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

[InThe313]

Tim was someone special.  He relished playing villainous roles and did so often with a fun singing voice.  Curry clearly enjoyed what he did and that's what made him so beloved for many years.

And as Icestorm mentioned, he was Dr. Frank N. Furter in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", a movie I have watched twice and enjoyed but still have trouble dissecting.  Beyond that, if you're down for a rewatch of his best performances, be sure to include the sweet transvestite as well as Daniel "Rooster" Hannigan in "Annie", Darkness in "Legend", Wadsworth in "Clue", The Grand Wizard in "The Worst Witch", Pennywise on "It", Hexxus in "FernGully: The Last Rainforest", Mr. Hector in "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York",  Cardinal Richelieu in "The Three Musketeers", Herkermer Homolka in "Congo", Long John Silver in "Muppet Treasure Island", Professor Oldman in "Scary Movie 2" and Billy Flynn aka The Prince of Darkness on "Criminal Minds".

Peter Cullen has died at 85.

The voice of Optimus Prime (Transformers cartoons, and movies), Eeyore (the donkey in the Winnie the Pooh cartoons), K.A.R.R. (Knight Rider) among other voices.

[Money]

In the last 10 days we have lost 4 amazing icons giant middle finger to 2026

[InThe313]

How could you not love that booming yet gentle baritone voice of Peter's?  He was a giant among voice actors and made Saturday mornings fun for so many children.  It sucks that he is gone, but the memories will live on well after his death.  'Til one are all, Peter.

And Icestorm did hit on him as Eeyore, K.A.R.R. and Optimus Prime, so if you need to relive some of his best roles, look to those three as well as Venger on "Dungeons & Dragons", Coran on "Voltron", Ironhide on "The Transformers", the voice of The Predator in "Predator", Monterey Jack on "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers", the Toonami narrator and Thaedus on "Invincible".

Legendary fashion and costume designer Bob Mackie died on Monday from pneumonia at 87.  Mackie broke out in 1962 when he designed the famous dress Marilyn Monroe wore when she seductively serenaded John F. Kennedy with "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" at the commander-in-chief's birthday gala at Madison Square Garden.  After that, Mackie became known as the Sultan of Sequins as he designed flashy dresses and concert outfits for the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Cher, Elton John, Madonna, Dolly Parton, Diana Ross and Tina Turner.  He also was the costume designer for all 11 seasons of "The Carol Burnett Show" and worked with Mattel to develop more culturally diverse features and outfits for Barbie.  Mackie held an impressive amount of awards as well, winning 10 Emmy Awards and a Tony Award, as well as receiving three Academy Award nominations for Best Costume Design.

Canadian voice actor Eric Bauza suddenly passed away on Sunday at only 46 from, according to his family, hypertensive cardiovascular disease.  He was the modern voice of many beloved "Looney Tunes" characters (more on that below) in performances that matched or exceeded those of the greats like Mel Blanc and Chuck Jones, earned him several Emmy nominations and made him a fan favorite from short films to features like "Space Jam: A New Legacy", "The Day the Earth Blew Up" and "Coyote vs. Acme".  To the latest generation, he was the only voice of Warner Bros. Animation's iconic characters, though he kept a wide profile of characters who had a vast emotional range.

Should you crave some of Bauza's greatest performances, I would recommend watching him as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Marvin the Martian in the "Looney Tunes" franchise; Woody Woodpecker in the "Woody Woodpecker" franchise; Foop on "The Fairly OddParents"; Tiger Claw on "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"; Buhdeuce on "Breadwinners"; Puss in Boots on "The Adventures of Puss in Boots"; Fozzie Bear on "Muppet Babies" and Master Splinter aka Lou Jitsu on "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".
