Football: Women's World Cup semi final result Australia 1 - 3 England, Ella Toone put England ahead in the first half with Sam Kerr equalising for Australia in the second half, but goals from Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo saw England to a well deserved victory.

Sarina Wiegman the Lionesses boss has again proved her superb management skills.

So it will be Spain v England in the World Cup Final on Sunday 20th August.

Women's Football: World Cup Final result Spain 1 - 0 England. A single first half goal from the Spanish captain, Olga Carmona was enough to give victory in a close fought game. The Lionesses just fell short, so the wait to be world champions is now 57 years.

Sarina Wiegman has moved England up a level since becoming manager, reigning European champions and now world cup runners up. I can only give praise to her and all the players.

Just to add that England's goalkeeper, Mary Earps, won the Golden Gloves award as best goalkeeper in the tournament.
