Basketball is fun in the Land of a Thousand Lakes again.  The Timberwolves overcame the largest halftime deficit in Game 7 history at 15 to dethrone the defending champion Nuggets, 98-90.  The Timberwolves will face the Mavericks in the West finals beginning on Wednesday in Minneapolis.

Who wants free basketball?  Game 1 is going to overtime after the Celtics’ Jaylen Brown hit a wild three with seconds left to tie the Pacers in the East finals.  Updates to come.

The Celtics beat the Pacers, 133-128, in overtime.

Pacers gave it their all until running out of gas in OT.

I'm still in shock at Denver blowing a 20 point lead in game 7. They looked like the team to come out of the West and give Boston a hard time in the Finals.

I didn’t know Slovenian chefs were so good at cooking.  Luka Dončić drained the winning three in the final seconds as the Mavericks completed an 18-point comeback to defeat the Timberwolves, 109-108, in Game 2.

Now this is how you silence an opposing audience.  The Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards sent shockwaves through the Dallas crowd with an absurd poster slam for the dunk of the playoffs in Game 3.  Updates to come.

Farewell to one of the greatest players and personalities in the game.  Hall of Fame center Bill Walton died of cancer at 71.

I just hope an ending can be avoided.  The Celtics are eyeing a sweep with a 3-0 series lead on the Pacers, looking to book a spot in the NBA Finals with a win in Indianapolis.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Oh, this blows!  The Celtics finished off a sweep of the Pacers with a 105-102 Game 4 win to book the franchise’s 23rd NBA Finals berth.

Now I know who I want to see win it all.  The Mavericks are onto the NBA Finals, where they will play the Celtics beginning on June 6 in Boston, after routing the Timberwolves, 124-103, in Game 5 to advance to their first Finals since 2011.

I don’t like this at all.  According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers are targeting UConn head coach Dan Hurley for the same position and are preparing to make a massive contract offer.

It’s finally go time!  The wait is over as Jayson Tatum and the Celtics are hosting Luka Dončić and the Mavericks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Forgive me for being biased, but this is not the way I wanted the series to open.  The Celtics took Game 1 by cruising past the Mavericks, 107-89, becoming the first team in NBA Finals history to have seven players make multiple three-pointers.

It’s time for Round 2.  Luka Dončić and the Mavericks are looking to respond after the Game 1 loss to Jayson Tatum and the Celtics as Game 2 of the NBA Finals begins.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Is there a rally in the Mavericks?  The Celtics lead, 90-83, with 8:06 left in Game 2 as the Mavericks look to avoid a 2-0 series hole in the NBA Finals.

UPDATE 2:  This is not great news, at least for me.  The Celtics took a 2-0 series lead by beating the Mavericks, 105-98.  Tatum had 18 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists and Jaylen Brown had 21 points, four rebounds and seven assists.  The Celtics are on a nine-game win streak.

Forgive me for laughing my butt off!  According to Adrian Wojnarowski, UConn head coach Dan Hurley turned down the Lakers’ six-year, $70 million offer for the same position and will return to the Huskies to chase a third straight national title.

Godspeed to one of the greatest players in the history of the sport and the NBA’s logo.  Clippers consultant, 14-time NBA All-Star, two-time Executive of the Year and Hall of Fame Class of 1980 inductee Jerry West died at 86.

Away we go!  The Celtics are eyeing a 3-0 series lead against the Mavericks in Game 3 of the NBA Finals as the series shifts to Dallas.  There is also an alternate broadcast starring Kevin Hart.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This is getting close!  The Mavericks are rallying in Game 3 as they are down, 93-90, with 4:38 left after cutting the Celtics’ 21-point lead.

UPDATE:  Please, Lord, let there be a miracle!  The Celtics withstood the Mavericks’ run to win Game 3, 106-99, to put the Mavericks in a 3-0 hole.  Teams with a 3-0 series lead are 156-0 all time in NBA history.

Let’s get a miracle!  Will the Celtics win their first title since 2008 in Game 4 of the NBA Finals or can the Mavericks send the series back to Boston?  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  I should be watching this with the butteriest popcorn possible.  Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving are outpacing the Celtics as the Mavericks lead, 61-35, looking to avoid a sweep in the NBA Finals.

UPDATE 2:  This series is not over yet!  The Mavericks secured the third-largest victory of NBA Finals history after a 122-84 rout of the Celtics to avoid a sweep and force Game 5 on Monday in Boston.
