It takes two to make a Monday go right.  The Bears are playing the Vikings as we get double the “Monday Night Football”.  The Falcons will play the Raiders at 8:30 p.m.  Updates to come.

This game had it all!  Jayden Daniels’ fifth touchdown pass of the game with six seconds left gave the Commanders a dramatic 36-33 win and ended the Eagles’ 10-game win streak.

Snuggle up with your girl by the fire and enjoy some football.  The Saints are playing the Packers on “Monday Night Football” at a frigid Lambeau Field in late December.  The Packers will be in the playoffs with a win.  Updates to come.

History has been made.  The Eagles’ Saquon Barkley became the ninth player in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  These two teams cannot stand each other.  A fight between the Cowboys and Eagles spilled into the tunnel after a 41-7 Eagles win.

What a thriller tonight in Landover!  Zach Ertz caught a bullet from Jayden Daniels as the Commanders beat the Falcons, 30-24, in overtime to secure their first playoff berth since 2020.

REVENGE!  The Lions, who will play for the top seed against the Vikings on Sunday in Detroit, are battling the 49ers in an NFC Championship rematch on “Monday Night Football”.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  One team has everything to play for, one has nothing to gain and both of them are still going for the jugular.  Tempers flared into a scuffle after the 49ers’ Jauan Jennings blocked the Lions’ Terrion Arnold through the end zone.

The Lions beat the 49ers, 40-34.

The final push for the playoffs starts now.  The Browns are playing the Ravens with AFC North at stake.  The Ravens can clinch the division with a win.  The Bengals will play the Steelers at 8 p.m.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Could this nightcap be any bigger?  The Bengals are taking on the Steelers in an AFC North showdown needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

UPDATE 2:  This game is tight and that makes for good football.  The Bengals are holding on against the Steelers, 19-7, with 10:56 to play in a must-win game to stay in the playoff hunt.

UPDATE 3:  Will we see a spoiler?  The Steelers have the ball and trailing the Bengals, 19-17, with 2:00 left and can end their rivals’ season with a win.

Now that we know who is going first, we must now ask who they are going to take.  The Titans landed the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft followed by the Browns, Giants and Patriots.  This comes as the Titans lost to the Texans, 23-14; the Giants lost to the Eagles, 20-13; and the Patriots beat the Bills, 23-16.

UPDATE:  Remember when Black Monday was actually on Monday?  According to Adam Schefter, the Patriots fired head coach Jerod Mayo after Mayo’s first year with the team.

What did I just watch?  The Broncos’ Bo Nix threw to Adam Trautman in the back of the end zone, but the ball ricocheted off Trautman and was tipped by the Chiefs’ Nazeeh Johnson and Keith Taylor before being caught by the Broncos’ Devaughn Vele for a touchdown.  Updates to come.

But how do you really feel?  Dolphins star Tyreek Hill indicated his time in Miami Gardens, Fla., is over after the season finale, a 32-20 loss to the Jets, saying, “I’m out.”

I am getting happier with this team each week!  Jahmyr Gibbs powered the Lions with four touchdowns to a 31-9 win over the Vikings to secure the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the NFC.  The Lions will play the lowest remaining seed on Jan. 18 or 19 in Detroit while the Vikings will play the Rams on Jan. 13 in Inglewood, Calif.

I am honestly shocked this did not come during the season.  According to Adam Schefter, the Jaguars fired head coach Doug Pederson, who went 22-29 in three seasons.

A day late, but I am sure there are fans who believe it to be better late than never.  According to Adam Schefter, the Raiders fired head coach Antonio Pierce.

With this awful situation going on, this was the right call.  The NFL moved the Vikings vs. Rams playoff game on Monday to Glendale, Ariz., because of the wildfires in Los Angeles.

The first new hire is in.  According to Adam Schefter, the Patriots reached a multiyear agreement with Browns coaching and personnel consultant and former player Mike Vrabel to become head coach.
