This fool is never playing baseball again.  Authorities in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, told ESPN that the Rays’ Wander Franco was charged with sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of a minor.  This comes as the Rays beat the Yankees, 5-3.

UPDATE:  This guy has the right combination of power and speed.  The Guardians took Oregon State second baseman Travis Bazzana with the top pick of the MLB draft.  He is the first second baseman to go No. 1 overall in draft history.

Honestly, I am not ready to call for upper management to get fired yet.  According to Jeff Passan, the Dodgers acquired Jack Flaherty from the Tigers.  This comes as the Tigers lost to the Guardians, 5-0.  Updates to come.

I am shocked that this was not a longer ban.  The Red Sox’s Jarren Duran was suspended two games after uttering an anti-gay slur at a fan during Sunday’s game.  Updates to come.

History has been rewritten.  Yankees superstar Aaron Judge became the fastest player to reach 300 homers in MLB history in a 10-2 win over the White Sox.

That is being a good teammate.  The benches cleared in Philadelphia after the Phillies’ Bryce Harper confronted a Rays pitcher following the plunking of a teammate.  The Phillies beat the Rays, 9-4.

What can this man not do?  The Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani made MLB history by becoming the first player to record 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a season.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This box score is bonkers!  Ohtani’s monstrous game with three home runs, 10 RBIs and two stolen bases in Miami to establish the 50/50 club will go down in baseball lore as the Dodgers beat the Marlins, 20-4.

The fact my favorite team clinched a playoff berth while sending my least favorite team into baseball infamy makes this post feel so satisfying.  The White Sox broke the modern MLB record with their 121st loss of the season, losing to the Tigers, 4-1.

I love when baseball is dramatic!  Francisco Lindor smashed a two-run home run in the top of the ninth to secure an 8-7 win over the Braves and clinch a postseason spot for the Mets.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Get ready for a fun October!  The MLB playoff bracket was set as the Braves will play the Padres beginning on Tuesday in San Diego and the Mets will play the Brewers beginning in Milwaukee on Tuesday after the Braves beat the Mets, 3-0, in Game 2 of a wild doubleheader.  Here’s the rest of the matchups.

The Royals will play the Orioles beginning on Tuesday in Baltimore, with the winner playing the Yankees beginning on Saturday in New York.
The Tigers will play the Astros beginning on Tuesday in Houston, with the winner playing the Guardians beginning on Saturday in Cleveland.
