Celebrity POV stories
« on: June 24, 2024, 09:33:34 PM »
I was maybe thinking of trying something new for a future story. Has anyone ever tried to write a story from the point of view of the female celebrity? By that I mean it's written as though the author WAS the celebrity, using "I" and "me" type of stuff. Just something I've been thinking about trying for awhile now

I haven't tried this and I don't think I could do it justice having to think like whoever would be in it but if someone else wanted to try it I would give it a look to see how it was done.

I can't see myself as Emma Watson trying to make myself sound sexy while trying to play hard to get chasing myself around the room but the concept does sound fun

I have written several stories from the perspective of the celeb. I don't find it difficult if I know the celeb very well.

A different POV is important in writing characters.

I'd say read Cade's to get an understanding @Cptnstrwrs, but also read Just Natalie by TRL on C-S-S-A.org

That is a masterclass in POV writing.
'What would an ocean be without a monster lurking in the dark? It would be like sleep without dreams.' - Werner Herzog

'Gotta head full of ideas that are driving me insane...' - Bob Dylan

'I sold a quart of blood, bought a half a pint of scotch' - Tom Waits

Are they any in particular that you'd recommend?

Tim Larkins wrote some amazing stuff about Rachel Stevens from her POV. I recommend going through his stories. They are some of the best works from the early 2000s on CSSA.

Of my own stories, Private Dancer was one of my most popular works in my early years of writing. It is written entirely around Jennifer Love Hewitt's POV.

I like this idea. I'd love to write a story from Evan Rachel Wood's point of view.
