UPDATE 4: Wow, the committee has some explaining to do. Indiana is No. 1 in the CFP rankings. Tulane and James Madison are in the playoff. Miami (Fla.) is in and Notre Dame is out.
UPDATE 5: This playoff will be good no matter if you think the field is controversial. Here is the playoff bracket looks like after the 12-team CFP field was revealed.
No. 12 James Madison will play No. 5 Oregon with the winner playing No. 4 Texas Tech.
No. 9 Alabama will play SEC rival No. 8 Oklahoma with the winner playing No. 1 Indiana.
No. 11 Tulane will play No. 6 Ole Miss with the winner playing No. 3 Georgia.
No. 10 Miami (Fla.) will play No. 7 Texas A&M with the winner playing No. 2 Ohio State.

Miami (Fla.) will play Texas A&M on Dec. 20 in College Station, Texas, with the winner playing Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl Classic on Dec. 31 in Arlington, Texas.
Tulane will play Ole Miss on Dec. 20 in Oxford, Miss., with the winner playing Georgia in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, 2026 in New Orleans.
