I knew this was coming and it is as bad as I thought.  Charges were filed against 20 men in a point-shaving scheme involving over 39 college hoops players that led to 29 games being fixed.

I am sure there is a lot more to come out of this story.  Tuskegee men’s basketball coach Benjy Taylor was led off the court in handcuffs following a postgame incident.

This game invokes so much emotion, even from those outside the fanbases.  It’s time for one of the best men’s rivalries in sports as No. 4 Duke visits No. 14 North Carolina.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  That is why this is the best rivalry in basketball.  North Carolina’s first lead of the game was a go-ahead three in the final seconds to upset Duke, 71-68.

And then there was one.  No. 9 Kansas upset No. 1 Arizona, 82-78, to leave Miami (Ohio) as the lone unbeaten in men’s college basketball.

A basketball game broke out at a fight today.  Six players were ejected in the No. 17 St. John’s vs. Providence clash and the game was delayed nearly 20 minutes.  Updates to come.

They are definitely not going to be atop the rankings come Monday.  No. 1 Arizona dropped their second straight game this week, getting upset by No. 16 Texas Tech, 78-75, in overtime.

UPDATE:  This is a historic Saturday.  Houston is playing Arizona now.  Michigan will play Duke tonight at 6:30 p.m.  Those four teams are Joe Lunardi’s four current No. 1 seeds.

UPDATE 2:  Pass the popcorn!  Arizona is leading Houston, 53-50, in a battle of potential No. 1 seeds going into the final eight minutes.

UPDATE 3:  I am so glad this rivalry is back.  Michigan is playing Duke, who has won 10 of the past 11 meetings dating to 1998.

UConn beat Villanova, 73-63.

UPDATE 4:  Hail to the victors, baby!  Michigan’s Morez Johnson Jr. threw down a vicious dunk over Duke’s Cameron Boozer.

UPDATE 5:  This one will come down to the wire.  Top NBA prospect Boozer and Duke lead Michigan, 53-48, with under eight minutes left.
