What a thriller today in Ann Arbor!  No. 17 Iowa scored the game-winning touchdown as time expired to take down No. 18 Michigan at the Big House, 20-19.

Not getting political, just reporting the news.  The Senate passed the Protect College Sports Act with a 77-22 vote.  The House of Representatives could vote after November's midterms.  If the bill becomes a law, it will regulate college sports, especially NIL and transfers.  Among other aspects, it will require reporting of NIL earnings greater than $600, an NIL cap and penalties implemented for exceeding the cap, just one transfer without penalty and at most five years of eligibility from the day a student becomes a student-athlete.

Just six years ago, seeing these numbers would have been impossible to imagine.  CSC court filings revealed that student-athletes across 307 schools received $1.77 billion in revenue-sharing pay in 2025-26.

We will see if this bill can become a law.  The Protect College Sports Act is facing many obstacles, time among them, to becoming a law.

This is a huge blow for a playoff contender.  BYU star running back LJ Martin is out at least a month after suffering a lower body injury on Saturday against TCU.  Martin, the reigning Big 12 offensive player of the year, will miss four to six weeks, including the game against Notre Dame on Oct. 17 in Provo, Utah.

Who doesn’t like a big guy scoring?  No. 9 Ole Miss’ Jamarious Brown, listed at 6-foot-2 and 315 pounds, caught a touchdown and hit the Sexy Dexy.  Updates to come.

Ole Miss beat Vanderbilt, 52-17.

The feud is all even!  Oklahoma struck to level it against No. 1 Texas in the Red River Rivalry in the fourth quarter.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This is what this game is all about.  Arch Manning threw a pick-six, but instantly marched Texas down the field to tie it against Oklahoma with six minutes left.

UPDATE 2:  What a thriller today in Dallas!  Oklahoma kicked a game-winning field goal against Texas in an all-time classic Red River Rivalry after capitalizing on Manning’s late interception in a 27-24 upset.

Football is an incredible sport.  No. 5 Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith made the most aesthetically pleasing one-handed catch I’ve seen all year (and maybe longer).  Updates to come.

Ohio State beat Maryland, 45-16.

Forget about Isaias, this game is going to be fire.  No. 2 Georgia is seeking their first regular-season win over No. 6 Alabama since 2007.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This may come down to who has the ball last.  Alabama has the ball in a 17-17 tie in the fourth quarter with Georgia, who just missed a field goal.

UPDATE 2:  Took them long enough.  Georgia took down Alabama, 20-17, for their first win in Tuscaloosa, Ala., since 2007.
