Our next interview is with the author of the Rey of Sunshine
erotic series, Blackjack. In this interview we will find out he got into writing celebrity erotica, who influenced him to write in this genre and other topics related to his writing.
You can find his profile at Blackjack1. Where are you from?
England, the south west of England to be more exact.2. How did you come up with your pen name and is there any meaning behind it?
I'm fairly certain there was a wrestling tag team called the Mean Blackjacks, I thought it was an interesting tag team name and cutting it down to Blackjack just made it easier for filling in website details.3. How long have you been writing celebrity erotic fiction?
Almost 11 years now!4. Who or What got you started writing erotic fiction?
I had spent most of my youth reading fanfictions from various animes, cartoons and whatever online and then, when on the browsing for more adult stuff I found some smutty celeb stories. I read a lot of them before I considered trying it myself.5. Who would you say are your biggest influences as a writer of less than appropriate celeb fiction? Which authors, if any, would have inspired you?
My main inspiration was a fantastic writer called TNP, he wrote a great Jennifer Love Hewitt story with her fucking a guy she met in a hotel elevator.6. Who are your favourite celeb sex story writers? Past and Present.
As above mentioned: TNP, KMB, DaxG2001, TheBigLove126, BeeYDee, RobertDoc, Pyrofanity, Dice of Dice and Kristi and that Cadeauxx guy, but who cares about him?7. Any favourite sex stories that you've read that made you think - "Wow! That's incredible!"
It was pretty much all of BeeYDee's stuff. I had never seen anyone really write about Kristen Bell as much as Bee did and seeing his wealth of stories was just inspiring for me to continue on with.8. Which of your own stories are you the most proud of writing?
The three Rey of Sunshine stories. They are all oh so close to novel length and considering I had them done in 3 months, it really inspired me to try out some non-smut stories.9. Which celebrities do you enjoy writing about the most?
Daisy Ridley, Kate Upton, Becky Lynch, Jennifer Lawrence, Taylor Swift.10. What type of sex scenes do you enjoy writing the most?
Normal man x Female Celebrity. Because, let's face it, that's the dream right?11. Do you have routine for how and when you write?
I try to do 500 words a day which is about half a page in the font/ type size I write on.12. Do you sketch out a plan on paper/word/notes or write off the cuff with a basic idea and let it flow from there?
I do! I will open up a Google Doc and do a long list of bullet points in terms of how I want the story to go. Sometimes, if I don't have a crystal clear idea, I'll say something vague and generic so I can expand on it as I get to it.13. Apart from hot celebrities, does anything else influence your writing? Music, Fashion, TV etc.
Not really. Often, when I'm writing I will have a selection of podcasts on but I'll sometimes just let a music DVD play instead.14. Any projects you are working on that you are excited about?
I've got some fanfiction ideas rattling around in my head currently with my Marvel comics idea sort of sitting near to the front. I also have a Power Rangers idea and something around a Mass Effect video game series fanfiction.15. Any tips for readers that may want to start writing celebrity erotic fiction?
Honestly, a lot of the time it can be just as simple as sitting down with a porn video and typing out what you see. Once you get an idea as to how a position looks, typed out, then you can start to flourish with some different positions or different feelings in your/the guy's hands such as lacy panties or silk stockings or even just the skin of a woman. The scenes can always be tricky, like 'Why would this podcaster be getting his dick sucked by [Insert celeb here]? So, often it can be working out the preamble and setting the scene up. If you have a guy that the readers like/associate with, it can make the story and sex scenes all that much hotter too! I would often suggest bringing up images of the celebrity and how you want them dressed so you can really paint the picture too.
