The NBA is going to party like it’s 1999.  The Spurs beat the Thunder, 111-103, to reach their first NBA Finals since 2014.  Game 1 against the Knicks is on Wednesday in San Antonio.

Here we go!  The Knicks are playing the Spurs in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.  The Knicks have won 11 straight games and swept their last two opponents.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This series is less than a game in and things are already getting fun!  The Knicks fought back from a big deficit to pull even with the Spurs in Game 1.  The fourth quarter is starting now.

UPDATE 2:  This has been one of the greatest postseason runs ever.  The Knicks stole Game 1 of the NBA Finals, 105-95, by rallying from a 14-point second-half deficit in San Antonio.

Is somebody going to take control of the series or will it be all square?  The Knicks are playing the Spurs in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Can you imagine how big it would be for tonight’s road team to go to MSG with a 2-0 lead?  The Knicks lead the Spurs, 84-75, entering the fourth quarter of Game 2.

UPDATE 2:  We could see 53 years of anguish get wiped away next week.  The Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama missed the potential game winner in the closing seconds as the Knicks won their 13th straight playoff game with a 105-104 victory.

This has to be the biggest game in the Big Apple in at least 27 years.  The Spurs are playing the Knicks in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.  The Knicks seek a 3-0 series lead.  This is so big, Pat McAfee is doing his own broadcast of the game.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Madison Square Garden is rocking!  The Knicks fought back from 12-point deficit to take the lead at the end of a contentious first half against the Spurs.

UPDATE 2:  This is anyone’s game.  The Spurs surged to a slim lead over the Knicks midway through the fourth quarter of Game 3.

UPDATE 3:  This series is far from over.  The Spurs took Game 3 at Madison Square Garden as their young stars rose to the occasion to cut the Knicks’ series lead to 2-1 in a 115-111 win.

Words cannot emphasize how important winning this game is.  Game 4 of the NBA Finals is on now.  Can the Spurs even the series or will the Knicks take a commanding lead back to San Antonio?  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This game is getting testy fast.  The Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama took an elbow to the throat and chirped back at the Knicks’ Mitchell Robinson after the flagrant foul.

UPDATE 2:  New York basketball fans are now sweating profusely.  The Spurs’ 14 three-pointers are the most in a half in NBA Finals history as they are dominating the Knicks, 76-49.

UPDATE 3:  Perhaps this is not over yet.  The Knicks cut into a 29-point deficit and trail the Spurs, 90-75, entering the fourth quarter.

UPDATE 4:  This rally is insane!  The Knicks cut into the deficit and trail the Spurs, 99-95, with 4:32 left in the fourth quarter at Madison Square Garden.

UPDATE 5:  The series momentum has shifted dramatically.  OG Anunoby’s tip-in with 1.2 seconds lifted the Knicks to an NBA Finals record for the largest comeback victory in a 107-106 win over the Spurs, sending Madison Square Garden into a frenzy and putting the Knicks one win away from a title.  Instead of trying to use up the clock, the Spurs’ De’Aaron Fox had his shot blocked by Anunoby, leading to the winning basket.

Time to see if the season ends tonight.  Game 5 of the NBA Finals is on.  Can the Knicks win their first title since 1973 or will the Spurs force Game 6?  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Is there another rally in store after Wednesday’s miracle?  The Spurs lead, 72-65, entering the fourth quarter, but the Knicks’ Jalen Brunson has a game-high 30 points.

UPDATE 2:  Here we potentially go again.  The Knicks trimmed the Spurs’ lead to 83-79 midway through the fourth with a chance to win their first title since 1973.

UPDATE 3:  Somebody play “Theme from New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra or “Go New York Go” by Jesse Itzler!  Brunson scored 45 points as the Knicks won their first NBA title since 1973 with a 94-90 win over the Spurs.

UPDATE 4:  He certainly earned the hardware.  Brunson was named Finals MVP after becoming the fourth player in NBA history to score 45 points in a Finals-clinching win.
