What a thriller tonight in Tampa!  The Commanders upset the Buccaneers, 23-20, in an NFC wild card game on a last-second field goal that doinked off the post and through for the franchise’s first playoff win since the 2005 Washington Redskins.  The Commanders will play the Lions on Saturday in Detroit.

There is another job available if anybody wants one.  According to Adam Schefter, Mike McCarthy is out as Cowboys head coach after the sides were unable to agree to a new deal.

The last spot in the divisional round is up for grabs.  The Vikings are playing the Rams on “Monday Night Football”.  The game is being played in Glendale, Ariz.  Updates to come.

The Rams beat the Vikings, 27-9, to advance to play the Eagles on Saturday in Philadelphia.

Somebody will take a step closer to glory.  C. J. Stroud and the Texans are taking on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs with an AFC title game berth at stake.  Updates to come.

This cannot be the way this magical season ends!  The Commanders defeated the top-seeded Lions, 45-31, to reach the NFC title game on Jan. 26 for the first time since the 1991 Washington Redskins.

This man is like the post office because nothing will stop him from working.  The Eagles’ Saquon Barkley darted through the snow for an electrifying 78-yard touchdown run in a 28-22 win over the Rams to advance to play the NFC East rival Commanders on Jan. 26 in Philadelphia.

You hate to see such a brutal drop!  The Ravens’ Mark Andrews had a chance to force overtime to force overtime, but his drop sent the Bills to their second AFC title game in 30 years, 27-25, against the Chiefs on Jan. 26 in Kansas City, Mo.

No, not there!  According to Adam Schefter, the Bears are finalizing a deal to hire Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as their next head coach.

I think there should be a law in the CBA that all coaching hires be done AFTER the super bowl so whoever is getting hired from anywhere don't sabotage the team trying to win but that's me

The Lions are eliminated from the playoffs and Chicago didn't even make it, so how does this sabotage them?

I really thought Detroit had a legit shot at making the super bowl I've heard far too many former players talk about when they played the coaching staff would do the pregame speech only to inform the team he was taking the job elsewhere because it was a great chance for them so Johnson going to Chicago didn't surprise me I just wish the big game would be over before the hiring cycle starts so players can focus on winning

KC's old OC was up for coaching spots and left yet once he was fired nobody said a word about can KC win without him we are just short of 3 in a row to prove we can

I'm not shocked the Lions lost. All 3 NFC North teams were beat thoroughly in their first game of the playoffs. The Lions defense was thoroughly exposed in that Buffalo game.

Turn the ball over 5 times, you lose.

Give up 40+ points, you lose.

Jared Goff is not a playoff QB. The Rams knew that when they off loaded him to the Lions.

It would be nice to give credit to other teams when they knock out a team in an upset as underdogs.

Everyone who watched Jayden Daniels play at LSU knew he was going to be special in the NFL. I don't think we realized he was going to be this good right out the gate.

I'm rooting for Washington the rest of the way, but I'd be happy to see Philly win too after the season Barkley has put up. He needs just 146 yards to break the all time playoff rushing record. I argued that he should've got MVP this year. It'll probably go to a QB though since that's how the modern NFL is.

I was looking at keeping the hiring cycle from happening till after the super bowl so every team had a shot at the new coach they wanted and not fight over the scraps left behind for teams that will only have them for a year before they end up in this situation next year all over again when things don't work and the team is stuck paying out contract money for guys who aren't even there
